At first, I didnt like the cleverness of this piece of work. It seemed too in your face and tongue in cheek.
However I realise the reason I though this is because you havent given enough background to the work.

"Social activism project for my elements of visual thinking course."

Tell us more or I really sense this will be classed as racism hiding under a false shade of sarcasm and wit.
I also sense it will be removed if not more about how and why you came to making isnt revealed?

though=think (sorry typo)

When this is shown, there won't be any background given either. That is the point of the piece. If a person perceives this as blatant racism and hate is, my message will still get across, as it will make someone say to themselves "Wow, look how stupid some people are." just the same as if someone sees it as a satire and says "Yeah, he's right. Look how stupid some people are."

Ha. Clever. I percieve this as satire and wit, not racism. I'm almost amused because I'm sure there will be some people who percieve this as an actual document for public's use to ID a terrorist.

even if it's a joke, it is offensive.
:iconmocha-san:
We'll certainly find out when I post it around campus in the end of the month.

Clever. I can't see how anyone would take this seriously--if anything, the bomb one, "thinks differently than you in any way", should be a dead giveaway--but then, people can be awfully thick sometimes.

I don't think it should be seen as offensive. The way I look at it, it's telling the stereotypical view of terrorists to Americans. It's more to point out the paranoia that's overcome Americans towards the people of Iraq and other such countries. If anything, it's offensive towards Americans.
That's how I see it, anyway. I could be completely off. :shrug:
